Our guest speaker is Phil Steger of Friends for a Non-Violent World (www.fnvw.org), a national organization based in St. Paul. Phil is energizing, wise beyond his years, and deeply committed to global nonviolence.  

He will provide information and introduce perspectives that can help people talk about peace and nonviolence with the religious right and others who see the issues of war and peace quite differently than we might. He will show us ways to address the spiritual and security (strategic) needs of religious fundamentalists, drawing on the ideas of Karen Armstrong in her books, The History of God and The Battle for God.
