Meeting
Topic: Perspectives on Evolution: From Creationism to Darwin and Beyond The popular media simplify the subject of evolution theory into two distinct opposites: creationism and Darwinism. In reality, however, scientists and philosophers have developed a whole range of theories. Some of these theories support the existence of a Higher Power and others do not. Still others are, well, nebulous, requiring one to define what one means by “higher power.”
Through playful experiences, at this MAGNT meeting, William Schmidt and Rosemary Ritchie, will guide us in exploring the rich variety of scientific and philosophical thinking about the evolution of all species, including humans. They will expand our understanding of the origins of various theories and of the ways these ideas affect our expectations, intentions and actions.
Saturday MAGNT meetings are
free and open to the public. No need to pre-register. Just come and be
warmly included. MAGNT is the Minnesota chapter of the Association for
Global New Thought. Its purpose is to inspire, inform and empower people
to create an awakened world. MAGNT is supported by local Unity and
Religious Science churches..
